Here is a trio from Sunday's hike West Fork of Oak Creek with Peter. I have placed a bloom review in the flower report thread.
The wall at the end catches some reflected light and makes a nice glow early in the morning. This is the first image processed from the new D600. Full frame will be fun for landscapes after the crop D90.
The first two would have been much stronger with cooperative light, I believe. The first image is just a wonderful scene reminiscent of....well, you know!
But you more than made up for that light deficit with #3. That's a magnificent image, Doug! Original, too. If this were mine, I believe I would 'lose' the stray branch top center and the stick bottom center for a much cleaner composition.
I should also note that the detail in all three is superb. Better luck with the light on your next trip!
The fern shot by far is my favorite. Excellent detail, color & composition.

Thanks for the feedback. The twigs and stalk in #3 should be and easy clone. This stretch of canyon runs east-west, so maybe late in the fall when the sun is more southerly, the back wall can be lit and an exposure blend can be done.
