Cheers for my Buzzard Image Comments. Again this is from Vince Jones' Barn Owl Centre and a captive bird. I have a number of shots I am pleased with and a lot more to go through. I do not intend to bore you with lots of captive birds so this will be my last post from the day, but i wanted to post it as the Tawny Owl was why i booked the day in the first place. Since i moved into the countryside i so often here them and have occasionally caught a glimpse and really wanted to photograph a Tawny....
Very smart Phil and I love the old brickwork I would be tempted to crop in from the left a little taking out the gap to the left of the tree to balance the shot a little.

Amazing some of the set ups that Vince comes up with. I really like this one, and you have made the best of it.
Phil captive or not you have finished with a very good looking image.

It's a nice image Phil that's for sure..!
But.........ah, there's always one isn't there......I can see the process effect you're going for, sort of "day for night"...but to make it work you need to pull the greens down in saturation then cool the image a little.
I know it was lighter than this when you took the shot 'cos Vinny turns into a vampire long before its this dark!
cheers all, oh Andy your good, yeah it was broad daylight, I underexposed in camera and carried own from there pp.... I will look at it at the week, cheers

As ever all C&C welcomed
I think the setting really enhances this image.
Lovely image of a superb bird and a species I don't have a single shot of, nicely done, Phil.
