Tetons
Drove to Cody looking for the Wild Mustangs. Was fortunate to shoot them for an hour or so. We then headed into Fishing Bridge and spent a couple of days shooting scenics and wildlife. Were now in the Tetons. First couple of days were cool and cloudy great for scenics. Had to put up with construction for several days between Colter Bay and the Lodge.
The Arrowleaf Balsamroot is at its peak along with patches of Lupine.
Grizzly 399 and her brood have been frequenting the meadows just south of Colter Bay. Hard to get shots of them behind a pilot car but great to see them again. Camping here for a couple of days and then will be heading back to Colorado.

Hey Don, I think I like the larger one even more, the moment is quite intense, and you nailed it, razor-sharp image.

Just curious, did you shoot that with the 70-200mm I sold you a couple years back? Or was this with a longer lens?

Nice action Don. I like the larger image a little better myself. This shot gets me excited...especially since I am sitting in a hotel in Spearfish, SD right now getting ready to drive into the Cheyenne River Res tomorrow morning to find the very same thing...wild mustangs! Hope I find this sort of scene...not counting on it...just hoping for it.

Paul, Had the 70-200 with me but shot this with a Canon 400 2.8 IS II. It was an evaluation lens that Canon loaned me. Wish it was the new 200-400 because I only had about 2 minutes of total action and had no room for movement. Once on I didn't dare move shot about 10 different frames before the action stopped. Haven't been able to do much with them at this point. Kurt , best wishes I'm sure all will go well. Were leaving the Tetons tomorrow and will be starting home for Colorado.

Nice! I also like the larger image better--but both are good action.

The larger image rocks! Excellent capture, Don!!
It's a wee bit underexposed, though. A Levels adjustment really makes it sing.

Thanks Stan and John. Haven't had a chance to adjust the images as I'm on my laptop. Will try levels when I get home.
