I likely won't be able to get out and do serious shooting until next month, so I'm adding another from April. I was hoping for an outrageous sunset, but this was as close as it got.

At least you got a little color in the sky John! The clouds a quit dramatic and make a good background to the beautiful balsamroot.

I love the composition on this John, from the gorgeous bloom up front and center clear back to the sky. Too bad the sky didn't cooperate better with a orange sunset, next time!

Marylynne, it is. Four photos were used for DOF, and one additional for DR in the sky.

Well done as usual John. Wish there was more color in the sky, it's almost like Mother Nature was teasing you here...

Still a great image, and the focus stack worked really well.

Nicely done. Your take on this comp...shows skill and artistic flair. The size of blossoms, and nice colors...tones .. makes what I might pass off as mediocre comp ... to burst with vitality.
