Solomon's Seal is one of those unlikely British plants, it looks like it really ought to be in a jungle setting. A great indicator plant of ancient/undisturbed woodland.
Slightly restricted view point as the plants were in a small fenced compound on a very steep woodland bank. I had a bit of a trade off in which aperture to use as there was a slight breeze in the woods. a very shallow aperture was used to try and isolate the flowers but perhaps a slightly wider aperture was needed to bring all the leaves into focus. However shutter speed would have dropped too much inducing subject movement in the slight breezy conditions.

It is sold as a garden flower in many seed catalogues, and like bluebells can turn up in odd places but I can safely say these were well and truly wild, hence their cage........
Hi Mike mine just popped up in the front garden about 16 years ago under one of the trees, not planted by me may have come with the 6 tone of top soil I had when we did the garden.

Never seen one in the wild, so will have to keep an eye out. Nicely done, Mike.
