Two Blue Tit fledglings left the nestbox in my garden last week. They both hid themselves in a hortensia (hydrangea) for a couple of hours, occasionally calling and waiting for their parents to arrive with juicy caterpillars. As I didn’t want to disturb feeding, I quickly took some photographs and then left them alone. Photographing them wasn’t quite easy, as these tiny and vulnerable feather balls were hidden very well. Luckely I was able to find a small look through, to capture one of them sitting under a leaf.
Nikon D300s @ 400mm, iso 200, F5, 1/200 sec on a tripod.
This works very well indeed, I'm not normally a fan of the mush, but this time it looks very good and really adds to the image, very nicely done, Sandra.
