Fly Orchid
Hard for anyone not to like these, surprisingly difficult to spot when in scrub habitat as full plant is very grass like in stature, but much easier once you get your eye in, if found in the scrub they can usually be found in the surrounding woodland edges.

Taken in the same session as the Military orchids so harsh prevailing lighting conditions.

Lovely image and well isolated. On the biggie, there is a small white spot to the right of the flower ?

No chance of taking anything like that today - a gale blowing outside !

indeed!

I am guessing its a pollen grain, as the body is coated in speckles as well - a lot of these mimic orchids self pollinate,

Another great orchid shot Mike, like Graham I like the isolation on this one.

I think the closer approach has worked on this one - especially with there being just the one flower.
Tiny nit - but I think the logo is a tad large

Best one so far, Mike. And as already mentioned, very nicely isolated from a very complimentary BG.
