Thanks Graham. Its a bit of a crop so easily rectified.. I suppose with the head looking left it could have gone over more . Silly me !

Hi John,
Great picture John, but I get the feeling the bird is alling to the right.
Seems the picture is a little unbalanced.

Nice to hear that you have LO chicks, something to look forward to, should give six or so weeks good fun and great shot, I envy you the prospect, anyway good luck. I agree with Tom, to me a little LH rotation would look more natural and thanks for the SOE comment.

Thanks . The bird is half way up out of the water after having the head and chest under water so it makes the angle look even worse.
Easily sorted.

John

Quality as usual, what shutter speed settings do you tend to use at your water feature? Thanks for sharing I have been working on a similar theme but with a different spin and will post when my PC gets back from a glitch repair.

Would like more LHS rather than RHS, not that I am picky ;)

Thanks
Barry- When the trees over and around the pool are in leave its a problem. I am usually wotking at f8 or f9 at 80th or 120th of a second. Thats at 800 iso
Its a bit better in the Winter with no leaves. People say why not getter a faster lens - say 2.8. Two reasons- First I can't afford one, and second I would still need to be at f8 or 9 to get the depth of field..
Cheers
