Just in case anyone is looking for a weekend idea and possibly meeting up, I'm headed to Kebler to shoot Spring forest scenes through sunday. It's a great place to relax plus it's very quite in spring. I will likely hit Crested Butte for a day as well. I typically hang out in the Horse Ranch Park area or east side of the pass. The ferns should be peaking, and hopefully the Monkshood will be on display. I'll be driving a maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo. Free camping is plentiful. Let me know!

Thanks Kane.

That is very tempting considering we are headed for all time heat records of 117+ both weekend days here in Vegas.
I've been thinking about Page. If I had more time, I'd be all over going the extra mile to Colorado!

Looks like I'll travel to Colorado in late September; and maybe late July if something organizes in the San Juans.

Drop me a note if you get into Southern Utah or western Arizona.

Enjoy it, Kane!

I'm hiding from the midday heat in the air-conditioned Panguitch public library, having just left Zion and heading out towards Hanksville and the Dirty Devil river. And I'm jealous of anyone at higher elevations, while I prowl canyons and try to stay in the shade...

Update. I'm currently in Crested Butte to pick up supplies. The Lupine displays are likely peaking, some of the best concentrations I've seen in Co. Plus there are entire slopes and meadows covered in Mule Ears. Plenty of Lupines in the aspen forests. I'm finding the best forests of flowers from about the turn off to Lost Lake Slough to about a mile east of Horse Park ranch. Yesterday the air clarity was perfect today is a little smoky which is no big deal when shooting in trees.

Bring Misquito repellent.
