Redpoll
D7000 300mm f4 ISO 200 1/160s at f7.1 tripod.

Taken at garden feeding station. Several birds are visiting on a daily basis and are bold and aggressive with most other birds. The perch may not be everyones cup of tea.

Many thanks for the feedback on my squirrel post. It looks OK on my lappie and I thought I had reduced the sat on it. A decent computer & screen are on my wish list but will stay there for some time.

Nick.

Nick,

Not sure why you've not had more comments Nick as it's a pretty shot and a species that doesn't appear on here very often.

As to the perch, If it's a garden feeding perch & you've several birds visiting... then you can always change the perch and get a few variations to suit different tastes

For some reason we've had some Redpoll and Linnets visiting the garden this year (only seen them in the hedges nearby before), never been able to catch a clear shot of them though :frown:

The perch works for me, as does that smooth BG. Just enough head turn too.
