July Theme: Avian

This July it's time to take flight with your bird photos for our latest monthly theme. Closeups of birds, landscapes with migrating birds moving through them or anything else avian is fair game. All times of year can be posted too: mountain bluebirds returning in the spring, hummingbirds pollinating summer flowers, geese traveling over the prairie in the fall or raptors and cranes nesting in the winter; here's where to show us your pictures of our feathered friends.

Here's a shot that included some geese from Loveland, Colorado with a view of RMNP's Mummy Range in the background to get us started.

And here's an additional shot of our national bird, the bald eagle, since today is the Fourth of July.

I'm a little late to this party, but better late then never. Great Gray Owl that visited Bozeman back in March. Such a rare sighting for us, that the local paper did a story on him.
