I liked Todd's (you know, Todd, the guy who used to post here occasionally... ) set from Evans so much that i had to go get some of my own. Aside from being stuck for a hour driving the final few miles to Id Springs, it was a good trip; nice to see snow falling in July!

Nice stuff here Mr Rose. The above image is my preferred of the nice set. The sky is just stunning and couldn't be better in my opinion. I also love the distant miuntain layering eccentuated by the faint wildfire smoke. The distant sky and middle lake with a nice wildflower foreground hits the jackpot, but my eye prefers less foreground. Maybe a crop of the bottom 20%? I have a feeling this is a 24mm stitch so it shouldnt effect resolution too much. Lastly, I will say this one "as is" blown up as a big print may not need a crop to my eye. Just ideas Stan, love the shots.
Very nice series Stan. My favorites are the first three Independence shots. By the way, been on that stretch on the 3rd a couple of times...I understand the pain.
A fine set from Evans, Stan. My pick would be Independence III.
When I was up there the day before there was a ton of moisture in the air creating haze that got knocked down by the clouds and rain/graupel. I wonder if that continued to cause the haze layer?
Stan, I like Independence II for the light on the mountain and that the yellow flowers are relatively larger. Independence I has nice sky color that is also caught reflected by the lake. Evans Reborn also caught my attention- must be the light, shadow and reflection combo. The bouquet looks to need a little more dof to put more petals in focus.

Are the warmer colors of the sky from wildfire smoke?
