I often set up a camera and trigger remotely to photograph birds. What I want to do is trigger two cameras individually with a single transmitter. As it is now I set up two receivers (one on each camera) and then have to have two transmitters (one for each camera). I am looking for a switchable transmitter that cam control one or more receivers. The cameras are pointed at different perches.

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have.

I use Pocket Wizards to trigger strobes. They can also be used to trigger a camera remotely. All you need is a connector that plugs into the camera electronic shutter release in lieu of the one plugs into a strobe. Mine have four channels. There are newer models, or other brands, that have more channels and/or are less expensive. Try looking into studio strobe radio triggers. FlashZebra.com has all kinds of gadgets, connectors, adapters, etc.

I use pocket wizards and they can do what you want if you buy 3 units and they are solid proven preformers but if you dont want to drop the big "jack" I saw this in the NPN photo store. http://www.outdoorphotogear.com/store/phottix-ares-wireless-trigger-and-receiver-set.html

Its 55 bucks and says it has a range of 650 feet.
