Nice recovery
Plenty of these Mexican hats dancin' in the wind at Lory St Park. The story provided on the next image.

As some may recall, this past March, the Galena Fire at Lory St Park, west of Fort Collins, burned a significant portion of the park. Besides vegetation being scorched, 11 wooden bridges were burned. Definitely was a set-back to my mtn biking for sure. But as nature always displays, out of ashes came a lot of new life. I have been amazed at the recovery, particularly the oak brush. About 2 months ago this scene was simply black. Frankly, other than the scorched remnants of some trees and brush, the park never looked so good!

With all the fire we have had I'm am also amazed at the recovery. Fire can open up many new opportunities for the photographer and is great for the wildlife too. I 'm looking forward to it. Nice wildflowers.

This is nice to hear Ken. I used to live nearby in LaPorte (or as my brother called it LaPotty  ) and was sad to hear about the fires. Nice to know it's beauty is returning. Nice work on the flora shots.

I like both images here. Always fond of closeup flower images, and the second one tells a story that needs no words.
