Continuing along US 93 from my last post of Cathedral Gorge, is Ward Charcoal Ovens State Park. We were the only ones in the campground which had 25 or so sites and was new and in beautiful shape. The charcoal ovens - kilns - where extremely well preserved for been built in the 1880's. This is a sunset shot- you lose the sun on these kilns 1-2 hours earlier than sunset due to a hill to the west. I wasn't prepared for that and had to rush to get a number of shots off.
These are both really fine images! I like the way you lined up the ovens and the light upon them. And the lit mountain is a perfect complement to the pretty foreground. Really nice work, Bob!

The light on the ovens gives them good individualism. I wonder if a crop from the left to remove the triangle of blue in the ULC would be worth trying for comparison?
Nice colors in the grass around the zig-zagging stream.
