Eh? anything? *added color ver.*
Thought I'd try to convert this one. Loved the still life backed by the movement of the stream. The color version is true to life - really rich in color, but I can't get it to where I like it.

I like it Ned, and would also like to see the color version. If anything, the open foreground at LR is taking up a bit too much attention, but a minor point. I enjoy the sharp foliage contrasting the flowing water.

Hmmmm. I like the color version better for a few reasons. I love the contrast between the greens and blues as well as the sharp vs. motion but also the vacant area at LR seems more palettable now - I think it helps direct some attention to towards the tree.

Ned,
I myself like the B&W version because it's unique. The water in the color version is just a bit unnatural. Was this the Mckenzie river? I want to think it's the Metolius but the Cedar trees puts it west of the Cascades.

I knew it would come across that way but I think Little Ricky will agree that the lighting made it this blue..

I like the color more than the black and white - you need the color to help form what you are looking at a bit more, I guess.... I'd crop part of the Right side so that you don't see the far right foilage or water again. I think that might help frame it better, but not sure....... really great contrast, Ned.

The color does it for me, but the B/W just doesn't seem to have enough tonal range for my eye... I love the turquoise water.
