Well the Screen calibration topic has come up several times and a wide assortment of name brands have all had their moment in the sun. I Recently received my Screen Calibration tool from Pantone and figured I would put it to the test. It's made by Pantone, who for the most part is the Authority on Color in the Graphics world so I shelled out a whole $90 bucks including 3 day shipping and bought a Pantone Huey. Much smaller than any other system I have seen and cheaper too! The question was how accurate would it be? Well I put it to the test on my last day at the Gazette and compared to Spyder and other calibration tools, it was just as accurate over all!
I tell you I love the idea that it monitors ambient light in the room and adjusts the screen automatically.
So if you have a small Bank roll and want to get your screen calibrated, the Pantone Huey is a good buy!
Neener Neener Neener. Got mine for $65 plus $3 shipping. Seriously, it seems to work great. Had to do a little tweaking but overall I've probably saved enough in ink and paper over the past 2 months to pay for the thing. Two thumbs way up from me.
