Somewhere on Colorado Plateau, this area of sandstone has potholes that collect the water from summer rains. The sandstone does not have the color variation of Coyote Buttes or White Pocket, but is still very interesting. I was graciously taken this isolated location by a friend who wishes the area to remain unknown. As you can tell from the skies, we had to deal with flat light most of the time. Please feel free to make suggestions on processing.

I like this comp Doug, although you seemed to have gotten skunked, there are still some nice colors in the sandstone. I think I know what area this is from a previous conversation we had en route to another sandstone wonderland, and would love to find myself around there at some point. Have you tried a black and white conversion? That may work nicely as well.
I like the cool reds and cool blues in this one. Nice comp and I'm sure you probably worked some shots around that tree in the pool? An interesting image.
This is nice, but as Peter noted, the light is pretty poor. Well worth a return under more favoable conditions!
I can see a bunch of more intimate/closeup compositions just waiting for the right light!
