A Dozen Wildflowers

Photo here is of the East River overlook on Gothic Road--the moon was amazing as it rose that night! You can see some of the resort lights on the hill.

Killer shots, Stan. Gothic Road, Afternoon Delight and Flower Power are my favorites. Crazy thick flowers, and love that light in Gothic Road. :toast:

As mentioned in my thread, your images from CB make me want to tear mine up :) Great job.

Great collection Stan. I like Gothic Road but Gothic Moonlight is the killer for me. Stellar. I'm not going to make it up to CB this year but will be in SLC for a few days next week and if Bret Edge didn't kill all the wildflowers around Alta I hope to come back with a couple images. Thanks for sharing these images.

Did you shoot this or paint it?

Stan, every one of your series had me wishing I was there. Absolutely beautiful. :toast:

Great shots, Stan, thank for sharing.Do you think the wildflowers will be there in a week?

Endless Fields! Yep that's a beautiful area near and dear to my heart. Thanks for sharing these images Stan. You're Ford Focus must be your sacrificial lamb, storm chasing...off roading...much more that we don't know about...One of these days when you finally had enough, you're Craigs List posting will say something like the following...

"Lightly used, well cared for Ford Focus and properly maintained. High miles, but all highway miles. Smells like new, most believe it to be a cross between a soothing wildflower scent vs beer stench. Great car, must sell for more Beer and Camera Lens."

LOL--im gonna cut and paste that in CL or ebay, Kane!
Tom--they'll still be there, but the sun exposed hills are wilting fast.

An outstanding collection, Stan! This one is enchanting and I like how it shows even better with a dark grey background on your blog. My favorite is the first one, Gothic Road.

A real nice collection Stan, with Gothic Road and Purple Pano being my favorites. Is Kane going to be your new sales rep? ;-)

You really did well on this trip! Certainly the best wildflower images I've seen yet this year.
I like all of your work from CB and the last one from BL. One of the best is the one you posted here, though.
You really nailed the tonality (and hence, the mood) of the landscape during a full moon. I really like this one a lot!
My lone suggestion might be to reduce the 'warmth' emanating from the moon, even if that's how it appears so full and low to the sky. It almost resembles a muted sun because of that warmth.

It sure does, John--which is why i pulled my hair out with reposts in the M&N gallery
