Secret Falls
More from the gorge. This is upper Oneonta fall. A steep little scramble off trail into this river canyon to get this vantage point. Zack and I waited about an hour here for a few momentary lulls in the breeze to get all the foliage sharp. I was particularly fond of this composition, with the mossy rocks in the foreground.

Marc,
I didn't even know these falls existed and Iv'e been a gorge trekker for over thirty years. I'm going to have to check this one out. Everything about this image is top notch. Very nice!

Well composed and balanced shot Marc.

It was a lot of fun trying to follow you down the side of that gorge, I had no idea these falls were there.

This turned out really well Marc, the FG rocks really help balance this comp.

Take me there! Great shot!

Great shot - after spending some time in the gorge, I'm learning that getting to these shots requires mountain goat blood to be part of your internal composition..... I'm all over the above shot - everything is simply perfect.

It's pretty much a classic, Marc.

Most excellent, Marc

Marc, That's a flawless comp with good detail in the water. Using those three rocks in the corner really anchors the frame, too. The first time I stumbled across your gorge images on the net, I was absolutely floored. Excellent work.

Marc,
This is just wonderful. I think I know right where you took this...My legs were too rubbery from my day of hiking to make it down there.
Really nice job here. Perfectly balanced. I kind of wish for a little brighter exposure though, but not much.

Those whites at the top of the falls kept giving me some trouble, Rick. Maybe I could have tried a little blending there?

Mark,

Superb!. The 3 rocks on the foreground make this work. ( uneven numbers). Two or four would have not been as good, but something tells me you know that!

Thanks for sharing.
