Stormlight at the Bisti
Running from the rains last weekend, I ended up at the Bisti, hoping for some good storm clouds.

Love the mood and subtlety of this shot.

Nice foreground sharpness.

Hey, whats that NASA rover doing out there?

The light just adds to the "alien" feel of Bisti.

That bentonite rich mudstone is a terrible place to get caught in the rain.
I usually bring plastic bags for my boots to avoid a terrible mess in the car.

Yea, that sepia light is special in this image. Well captured, Monica.

Cool mix of gold and silver color palette.

I love the contrasting colors, stormy skies and bizarre landscape.
Many Bisti photographers desire these conditions and few receive them. Congratulations, Monika!

The bronze sky matches well with the eggs. The left looks like a golden dust storm is coming. (that must be from my Phoenix monsoon memories). That the sunstar is disjunct over the cloud between the ground and sun catches attention.
