This July we explored the avian world and we had a great selection of bird photos from RMNP members. Our choice for this month's cover goes to Harold Ankney for his rare photo of a Great Grey Owl in Bozeman, Montana. Please congratulate Harold and take some time to participate in this month's theme celebrating the state of Colorado! Also, below are yet more upcoming monthly themes to shoot for:

September - The Road Less Traveled
October - Backyard Photos
November - Fall Color Contest
December - Silhouettes & Shadows
January 2014 - "Unique" Images
February 2014 - Time Lapse

Thanks Josh and Jack for choosing my shot. I'm honored. This Owl stayed around in a corner of a local park behind the library for at least a week visiting Bozeman. What was kinda cool was he didn't seem to mind at all the attention he was getting.

Thanks again for the honors

Harold
