In past monthly themes we've covered the RMNP states of New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. Since Colorado became a state on August 1, 1876, this month is a great time to celebrate the Centennial State.
Colorado has four national parks including Rocky Mountain and Great Sand Dunes and seven national monuments including Dinosaur. It has a wide variety of landscapes from desert locales like the Rattlesnake Arches to prairies like Comanche National Grassland. Of course there is a plethora of mountain vistas too.
Don't forget your Colorado wildlife images and photos of cultural sites like Mesa Verde and Chimney Rock! Time to show us some of your favorite Colorado photos!

Here's something to get us started: A cultural site not as frequently visited as other locations in Colorado: Painted Hand Pueblo at Canyons of the Ancients National Monument near Cortez.

Well, Joshua and Scott, you guys started it off with a bang! This ought to be a great monthly theme. So many of us on the forum live here, so there should be a ton of images here this month!
Some really great images so far. Morris, I especially like your Dream Lake shot. Maybe it's just because it's hot here again, and looking at it cools me off How about some canyon views? Colorado certainly has its share of canyon country. This was shot up at the Colorado National Monument this spring. I was out with my camera club and we witnessed an EPIC sunset.

A friend of mine drove me to this spot which took and hour once we left Grand Junction and headed SW. In fact, the last 15 minutes was on an ATV. That's La Sal in the distance but the small canyon and the MG are still CO. I did smoosh this shot around for a more painterly look using Viveza and a few other things. Anyway, That's CO!
