The August 2013 edition of Nature Photographers Online Magazine is now reading for your viewing!
This month's cover photo comes from the NPN Photo Art gallery, posted by Bill Reid. An old tree stump that resembles a howling wolf and the moon strategically placed in the frame (using Photoshop, thus posted in the PA gallery) yields a photo that is unique, realistic and very pleasing to view. Our thanks to Bill for posting it!
Alain's monthly essay Selling Fine Art Photographs serves up some great advice on the art of selling fine art. As is often the case with all other products, it is the way we treat the customer that can make the difference between a sale or not. As always, good stuff!
Pro photographer Charlie Borland offers some excellent advice on the use of flash in his article Using Flash in Outdoor Photography. Without a doubt, flash is an extremely useful tool for outdoor photography and Charlie provides some great examples on how to do so.
Finally (as posted here), we have installed a new feature in the NPN photo galleries - a script that allows any viewer (member or not) to post a link to your photo on NPN on the most popular social media sites via links that appear as buttons under the photos. We believe that this feature will give your work greater exposure, without reposting the actual photo on a site you may not want to do so on.
As always, your comments are welcome and we hope you enjoy this latest edition!
