View from the Hart
I took this a couple of weeks ago out at Hart Prairie northwest of Flagstaff, but since the sky did not go nuts like I was hoping, I did not process this until yesterday morning. Without a crimson sky, I think it allows the foreground lupine and yellow sneezeweed to show more though. Zerene stack of 3 images for dof, and a hand blend of the sky for exposure. Nits welcome, as always.

Hi Doug, I like the soft, dynamic light here. My prefrence is for a touch of saturation. Well composed but maybe very slight crops to the left and right of the image? A keeper.

This really makes me long for Flagstaff. Beautiful image and the soft light works perfectly here, Doug. The Zerene stack also looks good. :toast:

Sweet--this is a great shot, Doug! I think the sat looks very natural here.

This is absolutely gorgeous, Doug! I haven't seen many wildflower images this year, and I just love the bouquet you found.
The grass blades at the bottom of the frame really complement the flowers well, too. The even light is perfect for the scene. The blend looks terrific (bless the focus stack, eh?) and your 'development' is spot on, if a bit conservative. I think the skies could use a bit more 'oomph' (not saturation) myself, but this is picture postcard gorgeous as is. Another Arizona Highways submittal, IMO.

P.S.
I hope you post this one in the Landscape gallery.

Take what John said and put my name under it too, this is truly beautiful work. Pardon my ignorance, but what does "Zerene stack" mean? Who's Zerene?

Thank you for the feedback and input. Here is a minor tweak for comparison with 4% tonal contrast and 2%detail extractor with NIK, and a slight side crop. No change in saturation.
Paul, Zerene is a program similar to Helicon Focus that stacks images taken with different focal points. Bill P did a nice presentation about the two programs in Moab.

The second version looks great Doug. Although a couple things I think that could really put the emphasis on the flowers and light are a crop from the top (where the top cloud meets blue sky again) and some off the bottom. Plus I think you still have room to shave off more on the sides. This is making me want to get up to Flag for some wildflowers. Anything spectacular in regards to the blooms?

Yeah, that was just what I imagined when I made my sky comment, Doug.
I thought of the same crop as Peter up top when I posted, but didn't want to pile on.
None at the bottom, though. The blades of grass are sweet!
Cut, print and enter this baby to AZH.

That repost looks very good, Doug. It brought out some nice density throughout.
