Final Painted Hills Comp
I think this is my last from the painted hills (there might be another or I might try a b/w conversion).

7D, 330mm, f9, 1/320s, ISO 100

Sorry about that. I've since recropped to eliminate the bright swaths at the very bottom edge. Feedback appreciated.

This one is also very nice Marylynne! As with the others, the opposing layered hills, colors and drainage lines make these shots special. I think would crop just a tiny bit more off the bottom to get rid of the redish curve at the bottom center edge.

Thanks, Steve. I have cropped that bottom edge...not sure how it slipped through initially.

Thanks for these recent Painted Hills postings. The Hills are a really great place to shoot and I love all of your shots, however this last one is my fav. Great job!

Whoa! Great color in this one every which way you look. I particularly like the pleated top row! I agree with cropping just a snippet more at the bottom, as the red line makes me crazy to see what's below it. This is really a sweet shot; nice going!

Thanks everyone. Maybe I'll post this one in Landscapes with the bottom edge refined.

You bring out day time colors so nicely. I like the comp, but would also crop out the red bottom as Steve said. :)

thanks, Cliff. I posted an edited version in the Landscape Gallery with the red swath cropped out.
