I'm going to need a second Canon body to shoot the annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial this year(I've been shooting it for years). Anyone know where I can borrow/rent a body? Prefer a full frame (5D/II/III).
Thanks!
Bob

Absent finding a good friend willing to lend me cool gear for free, I've always had great luck with lensrentals.com. They invariably deliver the goods when they say they'll deliver (or a day early), and they are extremely easy to work with. Prices are OK, but they obviously charge for shipping as well.

I rent from Pro Photo Rental in Boulder several times a year...never been disappointed!

Bob, I've used both LensRentals and LensProToGo. And Mikes Camera. Mikes doesn't have very much and, even with the shipping, cost more than either of the other 2. Keep in mind that if you rent other than local, you need to allow an extra day or 2 for the unit to arrive. If you're a NAPP member, there are often discounts.

Bob, I don't have a full frame but you're welcome to use my 60D if nothing else turns up.

I'm going to second Erik's recommendation of lensrentals.com. I've rented from them about a dozen times and just completed a 10 day rental of a D7100 and 80-400. All equipment was flawless and new. The receipt tells you when they purchased the equipment (July 2013 for both the body and lens) and then rotate everything out in a 2 year period. I have never experienced anything but flawless and totally customer-oriented service. In February I rented a D600 and noticed the sensor was not clean - I just mentioned it in passing to them with no intent of asking for a credit or refund - they volunteered either a credit on my next rental or crediting back to my credit card - my choice. Their website is outstanding and the booking portion takes into account shipping times. They have a huge inventory of both Nikon and Canon as well as speciality lens from Zeiss and others and provide good reviews on all the equipment. An absolutely top-notch company with primo equipment - no old, tired equipment.

I have used :LensRentals numerous times; and BorrowLenses recently because I could pick up and drop off the item at a local camera shop.

My comment - insurance. You can buy damage insurance but this is not loss insurance. And standard home insurance does not usually cover rental items. I dont carry business insurance, but I suppose that might. Just be sure you know who is paying if there is a lost item. For that reason, I wont rent camera gear beyond a certain dollar amount.

Lens Depot. Several of my clients have used them and they've been flawless.

will you be driving there or flying? If you make it through Indiana, you can borrow my 40D! I've been to Emmitsburg many times for training at the FEMA academy and it's a great memorial. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for all the replies (Bill, I may take you up on your offer)!
Amy, I'll be shooting the IAFF memorial ceremony in Colorado Springs, not the one in Emmitsburg, but thanks for your generous offer!
