Choosing a camera bag or backpack seems to be a question that appears regularly on photo gear forums.
I've spent ages trying to find the right bag for my gear and think I might have cracked it.
I haven't given my Expedition 6x a full field trial on safari yet but will post an update when I've done so - should be in October.
Martin, I think you will find you have cracked the barrier so to speak. I've had my Tamrac Expedition 8x for well over a year now and used it at least once a week during that year. It works perfectly for my needs. Keep in mind instead of the 6x I needed the slightly larger 8x unit as I haul Large Format or Medium Format gear. But the two packs do look identical in setup overall. My internal dividers are arranged much differently then you have yours, but again, completely different equipment being toted around.
Good luck with your field tests going forward, but I feel you will find it works exceptionally well for all around field work.

In the meantime here are my first impressions.
