August Light
I made my annual pilgrimage to my favorite wild sunflower field a couple of nights ago. I always try to translate their color into light. It's always a fun challenge to find comps that bring some semblance of order in the face of such a multitude of flowers. Hopefully this works on some level for you.

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Morris, over the weekend, I was thinking about your B&W from last year and how nice it was. This is too. I prefer this to your ESS image. The flowers look prime and windless. My only thought would be a crop on the right just past the last big tree, as the trees, background hill and brightness tend to slope off.

All it needs is a little
color.

Really beautiful B&W conversion Morris. I had debated a crop of the background trees, but like the scale they give to the scene, very nice composition Morris. :toast:

i think id crop the distant bg--just leave enough of the trees to provide contrast. Cool!
