Where to have posters printed?

I may need to have 3-4 images printed as posters in various custom sizes for a hotel client. As usual, their art budget is laughable. I'll be printing low volume, i.e. 100 to 200 of each image. Can anyone recommend a poster printing company that works with custom sizes and low volumes?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Bret,

You are best going inkjet on a proofing grade paper for this.
Depending on the size you need, it may make sense to invest in the equipment to do it in house.
Any offset printer will kill you in setup fees and the color can be dodgy.
I run a giclee shop myself and would not think of doing it any other way unless you were doing 1,000's

Thanks, Robert. As is common with chain hotels their art budget is exceedingly low. Let's put it this way: they've got $90 per room for 3 pieces of art - including framing. There is room for a healthy profit at poster prices. I've gotten quotes from a couple places online and they're very reasonable. I'm just looking for other suggestions for comparison purposes. The client is aware they aren't getting limited edition artwork and they don't expect it to be given their budget.

Bret,

I highly recommend B & B Printers in Gunnison, CO. They have printed the posters for the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival for years. They can print any size, any design. Their website is:

WHCC may have the best prices if you're okay with the one size that they offer. If not and if other options here don't work out, here's a review of 10 online print companies, many of which do custom size posters and lower quantities (though I've never used the ones that do).

Bret,

I use El-Co to have my posters printed:

Quality is excellent and they are fast! My customers rave about their posters! Minimum order of two (2) and they don't even have to be from the same file!

Good to see that El-Co was mentioned here. I used them once for a poster from a Canon 10D file (!), and the results from their own upsampling methods were mind bogglingly good.

Thank you for all the suggestions, everyone. Looks like I've got some research to do!
