Old School House
(see larger picture) First post in a long time. My wife and i went to central Oregon and drove the dirt roads for a few days. I Hadnt planned on taking pictures but when the opportunity came, i had too. I merged two shots, one for the sky and one for the school and still processed it three times in cs5 to get the sky right. Should have used my light meter which was fifty feet away. Oh well. I think it still worked ok. Your thoughts and critiques are appreciated. Canon 5d 16-35 at 17mm f/16.

Yes, it worked "OK". Better than OK for me. The clouds on the right are a bit blown but I really like the way all the clouds form a V with the school house at the apex. Nice work, and welcome back!

It's an old beauty for sure. Nice perspective on the shot. Makes it look like it's out in the middle of nowhere, which would validate all of our ancestors' stories of walking 5 miles to school in knee deep snow!

Thats funny Catherine. We now use it on our kids. :) I shot a bunch more like this with the same idea of being out in the middle of nowhere, I guess i'll post some more. And thanks Steve for your comments. :)
