DHP Sunrise
Here's one I shot at DHP last weekend. I was happy I had some clouds, but ecstatic when the slice of rainbow appeared. It seems a little dark on my work monitor (but it's kind of crappy) and I tend to like my images a little darker, but feel free to disagree with my treatment. Thanks!

Nice catch with the rainbow and light on the rim. My thoughts would be to increase the brightness a little, add some local contrast/image polish, and bump up the yellows in the trees and bushes.

Angela - On my calibrated-to-ProPhotoRGB NEC Wide Gamut monitors (PA-271/241) , the shadows definitely look too dark. On my junkie HP sRGB office monitor - the shadows are brighter, but still possibly darker than they should be. There may also need to be some additional sharpening in the size reduction (edit - or what Doug said)

Overall, I really like the composition and the light dynamics with the rainbow are probably extraordinary. Love to see this in full resolution!

Angela, I think you did really well here. I was also at DHP last week but didn't come away with anything this nice. Might just be an illusion or the terrain but I'm wondering if the horizon is slightly tilted. I could also see adding a some local contrast. The rainbow and sky really set this image apart. Nice work!

That rainbow really sets this one off! I agree about brightening this up a bit and increasing the contrast. You could probably even boost the saturation a bit as well for a little more punch. Just a fantastic image to have in your portfolio.

What the others said--contrast, morrrrre contrast. Very pretty shot.

Great catch Angela. Really strong comp but I agree with others regarding bumping up the contrast. An earlier comment speaking to a slightly tilted horizon might be only a lens distortion issue. That can be correct with easily available software.
