Hi all -
I was pretty active on NPN a few years ago and then life happened (posting as Sarah Fischler back then). I still visit NPN often and decided that I should start contributing again.
In the intervening two years, I have taken a lot of time off to travel and photograph, which has been a pure joy. You can read more about all that here: There’s still time to change the road you’re on…
I also recently wrote an e-book on Iceland with my partner and fellow photographer Ron Coscorrosa. Since I have seen quite a few posts about Iceland recently, some of you might be interested (see my signature block for a link to learn more). We are working on an e-book about photographing Death Valley right now and should have it out in a few weeks.
Most of my travels have been outside of Colorado and it has been great to be back. We spent some time in the San Juan Mountains this summer and will be doing a long Colorado fall colors trip this year (might see some of you out there!). Here is a photo from Ice Lakes Basin this summer. Ron and I met up with fellow NPN member Alex Mody for our trip up there and were treated to some pretty nice conditions.
Anyway, it is good to be back on NPN and I look forward to contributing again to this community!

And I forgot how much the 300kb limit destroys photos! Sorry for the crappy image quality. I have not posted this anywhere else yet so I do not have a better link.

Great Ice Lake Basin shot, and really enjoyed your Iceland gallery on your website. Makes me want to go back, it's not only great for photography but also for very warm and friendly people.

I'll certainly welcome back a fine Landscaper any day! The above Ice Lake image is a nice change from the typical iconic shots from that area. Its composed very well and you have virtually all of the necessary components here to share this with your fans. Love that Canon color!
BTW, I googled "Canon 6D Review" and found your review article a few weeks back. I'll admit your review pushed me off the fence to embrace the 6D as my landscape camera. I sold my 5d2 and have never looked back. Its funny we don't see too many others around here making the switch to the 6D. Its sensor enhancements is clearly favorable for the landscaper.

Sarah, welcome back and best to you in your new life. It will be nice to see your images again. Nice web gallery and 500px images. I still recall your fine image of fall oak leaves covered with water drops.

Welcome home, Sarah.
Haven't seen many wildflower images this year for some reason, but this one cures that particular void well.
I love how the flower arrangement draws the eye into the image so smoothly. Superb composition, colors, 'development' and scenery! Great skies, too. Just a wonderful image all the way around.
These days you can upload a larger version (1200px x 500kb) which helps somewhat.
Safe & light travels, Sarah! Hope to see you two down this way in a few weeks.

It's great to have you back, Sarah!
I'm looking forward to seeing your two year backlog of processing.
Your Iceland eBook is a great resource.
It will come in handy on the road next week.

Congratulations on having the courage to make a change in your life after what must have been some serious soul searching. Kuddos
