My Owyhee/Leslie Gulch trip was a bit of a bust: flash flood watches, rain for three days, combined with 95 degree temps, low lake levels, and flies in abundance.
So, we stayed at the lake out of an abundance of caution (Succor and Slocum Creeks had flash flood watches and roads sometimes unusable when wet). I did get a couple good shots (more good shots of whiskey than of landscapes, but that's another story).
Here is the first: an abstract of Rock and Water at Owyhee lake. As usual, let me know if it is pleasing, could be improved upon in any way, etc.

I like the contrast in color even in direct sunlight, and if i think about it, it brings to mind hard rock and from this height, hard water also. :)

Hi Marylynne!
I like the mix of colors and textures. The contrast between the sandstone and the other colors is nice.
