Really like that first one with the view looking down the river. Nice shot!

Doug, #1 achieves a much-sought-after effect: a real WOW feeling of depth, like you could fall into the canyon. That is a fantastic image, I can't show my wife, she is ultra sensitive to heights and you nailed it. All three have such great texture but #1 adds a nose bleed. Well done! BTW, based on the ration, are you shooting LF or is this cropped from a DSLR?

Doug,
All three are outstanding but I'm tied on #1 for the same reasons as Paul and #3 because of the introduction of the blue flowers which add life to all that rock. How far below Navajo Bridge were these captured? It looks like the lower end of Marble and the beginning of the Grand Canyon.

#1 is easily my favorite! That looks a lot like Soap Creek Canyon/Soap Creek Rapid, which is 11 miles downstream from Lees Ferry? I camped there on my July kayak trip! I didn't know a rim view above Marble Canyon was accessible on the east side of the canyon. I do know about the west side access points.

Thank you for your comments, Joshua, Paul, Doug and Don. Paul, these are from a D600. #2 and 3 were right above Kwagunt, the next below Nankoweap.

First one all the way. Great shot with depth, color, and interesting canyon features.

All three of these are real good, Doug. I like the variety of light and compositions, and the plants you captured added so much dimension and beauty to the scenes. Like the others, I feel that #1 is the best of the lot, and I far prefer it over the horizontal view. Once again, you scored and performed excellent work!

Love the winding river in #1 and probably my favorite, although #3 is very close behind with the flowers in the FG.
