Succor Creek
Here is a shot of Succor Creek from a Succor Creek Rd. pullout. I've almost reached the conclusion that I like to be in canyons looking up and out rather than above looking down. I took 5-6 pictures of this lovely creek, and in all honesty, this is the best of the bunch. It fails to convey the depth and length.

Any suggestions?

While you may not think that you captured the essence and depth of the canyon, I believe you have. My first look after your posting had my eyes overlooking the enormous amount of detail and ruggedness of the terrain. Having looked it over again in the larger view, wow! I also like the blending of all the subtle coloration in rock and vegetation. I also agree the view looking up and out of the canyon is much more dramatic.
Congrat's on a fine image!

Thanks, Craig. This is one of those shots that would have benefitted from a trio of hikers below to show scale.

I'm really late to the party, Sorry! I agree with Craig's comments. You captured excellent detail. Hikers or some wildlife would add to the scale, but the rock walls toward the top of the image help provide the impression of a deep and rugged canyon.

Thia is a very nice image.
