Last year I failed to start this topic so I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to report on fall colors in their area of the Midwest this year.
Hopefully this will give our forum a little boost as it's been rather quiet this year!
Please post information here for any fall color reports from the Midwest. This will be a featured topic (it will stay at the top of our forum for the season) so it won't get lost in our forum.
Thanks!!!

The central Upper Peninsula (MI) from Escanaba to Munising and East to Grand Marais is at or near peak. Many of the popular locations such as Miners Castle, the White Birch Forest, and AuSable Falls are "closed" (entrance roads are barricaded with cones) due to the government shutdown.

Thank you, Matt. Unfortunately, I'm sure we will be hearing more about other places that are also closed due to the government shutdown.
Here in the Grand Haven/Muskegon area in SW MI, there are a few places with spotty color, but it's still mostly green.
