I can't believe the number of photographers who now have a blog. With a limited amount of time to read blogs, I'd like to find a few really good ones to follow. I'm looking for a blog written by a photographer who really knows his/her craft and shares good information and tips that will help to improve my photography. I'd love to hear which blogs you think are worth reading.

If you go to the NPN header: Links>Member Sites you'll find your way to a listing of the NPN members and their blogs. You can sample there.
Or, I could paraphrase Nemo's gulls "Mine! Mine! Mine, mine!" Though mine is more anecdotal than instructive.

Buck, I wasn't aware that I could find all NPN members' blogs through that link. It certainly supports my statement that there are so very many photography blogs these days. But again, as I have a limited amount of time to read blogs, I was hoping to hear from NPN members who found a particular blog to be very helpful or informative.

ha.... 3 points: (1) most folks are too keen not to offend others by omission, so not too many will post a list...here. (2) Blogs often have links...you find who they support, which can be who they align with in both ethics and photo inspiration...so it reflects more about themselves than just a link to another site (3) I don't read blogs...who has time? As you say, there are too many. I just check out this site, a couple other photo posting sites- and call it a day...I like sites that filter to show most popular, best sellers, by type... etc...usually those photos give me inspiration. For learning, depends.... if I have photoshop problems... I need one on one help. For composition... gosh...I think developing my niche and eye ... is more important than what others are saying to do. Hope this helps.
post edit....glad to see I was wrong..you're getting some good blog listings....here...

An obvious way to handle this would be to start with the blogs of any NPN members whose images you like and respect, and whose comments on other people's images show they are perceptive and knowledgeable and willing to share advice.

http://robertrodriguezjr.com/blog/ Robert lives and works in the Hudson Valley and has stunning images from elsewhere too. He is the most generous person when it comes to helpful advice.

Thanks Nancy. I will definitely check out Robert's blog.

If you want a cerebral approach, then try Guy Tal's, and if you want humor injected from time to time and a variety of different excellent photogs in one place go to Ian Plant's. Both are excellent.
Also, Photo Cascadia has several top notch photogs contributing in one place with excellent tips, instructions, and locations.

And add Bret Edge's and Adam Schallau's to Morris' list...
