I have been featured in a blog called photographers of planet earth.I was on the fence about adding one of my images to the site as I am a bit of a hermit and I really don't like to draw attention. I know I could have just said a bunch of fluff stuff about myself ,but in the end decided to be honest about my beginnings in photography.Even though it has been almost seven years I still am shy to out myself in photography. So if you decide to visit the blog you will learn more about me and where I come from on my journey and what drives me. I am having a panic attack writing this and anything personal but I need to push myself out of my shell and this is way the heck in no mans land for me. In the last seven years I have had a stroke ,two heart operations which have left me with a very weaken heart, and a few other operations ,as well as fibromyalgia, I have been diagnosed with a degenerative muscle loss.I am 45 and still have two fairly young children but photography is my lifeline while I don't always have the strength I would like to pursue my passion my camera is very patient and always waits to help me back on the road of recovery.Anyway that is my story ,it is what it is neither bad or good I am just carrying on like the rest of us and each day we have is a gift, and what a fantastic way to spend it than doing something we love such as photography.
My story is no more or no less than any of us have had to go through to get to where we are.

Very cool Lorna, it's interesting how many of us struggle with wandering through life not finding our purpose. If you're like me when you are out with your camera it just feels so right like you know this is what you're meant to be doing to be content and happy. I'm glad you found you calling.

Thanks John, My camera and the stories I can tell with it are everything to me . Like you I find there is such a great peace that fills you as well as joy when out and about with a camera. It allows a moment to slow down and really appreciate the beauty of everything around us. I think photography lets us be kids again and we are filled with a great sense of adventure when we get our cameras out and start to play .
