We lost a great man and occasional member of this forum today. Ken Einig lost his battle with cancer. I'll never forget the time he pulled me out of a snow drift in the Bear Lake parking lot (don't ask) on my only photo excursion with him. Great photographer, great person – the world is a little less bright today. Thoughts are with his adoring wife and family down in Pagosa Springs.

Very sorry to hear this! Ken and I worked together at Los Alamos and we had many spirited discussions about photography and many other topics. We both came from St. Louis so we also had good times reminiscing about the old days. Great guy and he will be missed!

Sounds like another great guy. Never met him... But so sorry to hear another loss to cancer.

So sad to hear! :( Ken and I traded many e-mails talking about the South San Juans, an area he know like the back of his hand. Rest in peace sir!
