Another Galapagos Oyster-Catcher
with a baby octopus. This is for the guys who wished, with my last oyster-catcher image here, to have a better contrast between the black bird and white sand! How's this?

D1X, 105 macro at about 6 feet, crop from right/bottom, levels, sharpened

I like this better, Sandy, for exactly the reason you'd mentioned (I was probably the one that mentioned how the upper body didn't show up as well against the dark bg of the previous image). I was also going to suggest upping the brightness even more but that was when I was viewing it on my crt... on my Dell laptop lcd it looks just right!

Is there a reason the pictures I post in this forum don't show up in the "My Photos" list? All other forum's posts do. just a quirk? Sandy

Nice capture Sandy, I'm jealous you got to take a trip there, I hope to one day make it there.

Hmm, Sandy, I didn't think pictures posted to the regional forums would show up in the My Photos list. In the forums (as differentiated from the galleries) we have My Topics instead...
