I renewed my NPN membership April 2013. Today I received 3 e mails in a row saying my membership had expired would I like to renew now. Does any one know if this is some kind of scam ????

I got them too, even though I just renewed in October. I'm assuming there was a problem with NPN's email autoresponders. At least, I hope that's all it is...

Jack posted this thread within minutes of us sending out our monthly renewal notices. When I saw his post, I was
We then checked to see what happened and instantly saw the massive screw up, at which point we went into crisis mode (which included the PLEASE DISREGARD email that we had to send to everyone). Then came hours of refunding membership payments that were not due, all because we failed to check to make sure the correct email addresses were listed before hitting the send button.
Lesson learned and thanks again to all for your understanding.

I don't want to be alarmist Jim, but are you sure it was just a glitch and not something worse?
Reason I ask is that a day later I got an exact same kind of email from the RGS in London which was followed a day later by an apology for an email error. Almost a mirror image of what happened with the NPN membership emails.
Is it possible that someone has hacked your mailing list?
