Apologize for my inactivity in the forum for quite sometime, though off and on I was visiting the naturephotographers.com to see a few photographs here and there and sometimes visiting the RMNP forum as well but didn't post for quite some time. During this summer I visited India for a few days and here a some pictures from there.
The tailor birds were shot at my home in Kolkata, India and the other were shot in Chintamoni Kar Bird Sanctuary (CKBS) not too far from Kolkata.
Thanks for looking and ... your c&c appreciated as always.

Have to say I can appreciate all these images since I personally find avian photography challenging. Darn shame that some of the foreground foliage that created some green blur in front of some birds. My fav is the owl, which is gorgeous. The woodpecker image could use some tighter cropping to remove some of the distracting background and more exposure. I would also recommend tighter cropping on the owl to remove the lower left portion.

I agree with Ken about the oof leaves. The owl is my favorite also and think a crop off the left to eliminate the brown leaf is preferred as Ken noted.

Very cool shot, Soubhik. I really like the owl shot, but they are all good.

Yeah, exactly what Morris said! The owl is very different looking than owls over here. I like that!
I think that some judicious cropping to help mitigate the OOF areas would be helpful on #'s 1, 4 & 5.
Cropping in from the right to half the berries (?) or just left of your signature on #1.
Cropping in from the right to about an inch from the tree trunk on #4.
Cropping up from the bottom about an inch (+/-) on #5. Yes, you lose a bit of the owl, but losing the OOF green area makes up for that. See what you think.
Nice work, Soubhis. Thanks for sharing these with us!

That owl shot is awesome! And, I really don't mind the oof leaves at all, in fact, I feel they help to focus the viewers eye on what's important.
Great shots of some very interesting birds! #2 is the solidest of the set as it is, very nice capture. But I really love the owl, and the crop others have suggested would pull it together very well!
