Wow, it's been quiet here lately...
I thought I'd post a shot from Ridgefield. This was taken last Friday...This Egret was not shy at all, so I was able to get pretty close...this is full frame, just cropped off some extra at the top.
Canon 5dIII, 600mm, f/4 @ 1/500sec, ISO 125, beanbag support.
Now, there's a grumpy looking bird! Beautiful shot, David, and nice to see you post.

Amazing he let you get so close. These are such beautiful birds and this is a nice shot too. Good detail and nice job with the light.
It has been very quiet here lately. Thanks for posting!

Excellent, David. I was there a few weeks ago and one of them let me get reasonably close. Unfortunately, it was much lower and the angle was horrible. I'm hoping the sunny weather they've predicted holds and I can get back there later this week. You have excellent light and a very nice angle and perch on this one. I like the pose and excellent eye contact.

As mentioned David, this is at a really nice lower angle, a classic egret pose and your exposure perfect for handling the bright whites. Very nice sir!
