Night Owl (c)
Taken this evening as the sun was setting, direction taken was facing into the evening sun. The silhouette is a European Eagle Owl leaving the tree stump.

D2X - Nikon 17-35mm @ 17mm (handheld)
ISO 200, F6.3, 1/3000sec
This is a new lens I am experimenting with, never used a wide angle lens before  amazing:jump:

Please forgive me if I haven't commented much recently, just very busy with the Owls  I will catch up soon, must dash I have been told I have a Beans & Toast on the table

Critique welcome:toast:

Hi Vince,
Works for me.
Only nit is the quite pronounced vignetting .

On a seperate note.....I am gobsmacked at the quality your D2x files and how well they blow up to huge sizes.

Cheers,
John

A bit of a departure from your usual style Vince and I think ir works quite well. John has already pointed out the vignetting - but I think that is a minor nit that could be corrected quite easily.

Dont know why but the perch looks like a horses head with a bump on the nose-must get some more sleep,Maybe crop it infront of the horses ears.Something different which has to be good :toast:

Very different Vincent. I suppose it is nice to get away from the norm especially as my 600 seems glued to the body. Works well. :toast:
