This is another from day 2 at Shi Shi Beach (pronounced shy shy) I also have a landscape version of this comp. I thought there was going to be more of a light show but I'm not complaining
I was drawn to the textures in the sand and the way the light was enhancing it. I also liked the texture in the water made by the slow shutter speed and wind blowing toward me.

Hmm, I'd not be complaining about the light you got here either! I wish this one were mine.
I've seen more grandiose scenes that you've captured, Zack, but this is still a very peaceful and beautiful image and you captured it well! It feels like the portrait aspect was the right choice for the comp but it'd be interesting to see the landscape pic...
Hey Zack,
The detail is is pretty cool, and I like how the forgorund leads yur eye. The whole thing seems a little too centered to me, but that's a minor nit. I wouldn't be afraid to print it out.
You know, Zack... to be really honest...you probably should have posted this before that other sunset post you shared earlier. This is really great and I'd be proud to have taken it, but that first sunset post is probably the best Shi Shi sunset photo I've ever seen....
One thought: I'd consider cropping part of the bottom and the right so that the sea stacks are more centered without the empty sky on the right. It's a tough call because the sky is the best on the Right.... also there appears to be a CW tilt.....
Zack,
I kind of feel like the foreground with the seaweed is a little messy. Everything else is right on. I just think that the seaweed takes away from the scene.IMHO of course!
