My 2013 Contribution
Hey guys, I know I'm not around here much. I check on the posts briefly about once a week while wishing that I had more time to participate. :frown:

Anyway, here is a little video I put together of my favorite images from 2013. There are 10 from Rocky Mountain National Park and 10 from other locations. They may not be the best images, but they are the ones that I like the best. I hope you enjoy them!

Wishing you all a great 2014! I hope to make it to the Shindig so perhaps I'll see you there!

Well done Erik. I had to view it a couple of times. I like your use of the image as the background. Image wise, the warty slot canyon image, columbine and mountain, and the tight waterfall images stand out most for me.

Beautiful as usual Erik. The summer alpine wildflower and peak shots pull at me being that I live in the land of sand & cactus.

That hypnotic music and mesmeric visual effects nearly tricked my brain into believing that you took some really nice images in 2013! I'm sure it's all an illusion, though, which is a big relief, since it would be painful to admit that you've ever taken a decent photo.

Outstanding imagery as usual, Erik! My favorites are all of them with wildflowers. Here's wishing you are as successful in 2014 as this year. It will be hard to top, but no doubt you're up to the challenge.

Nice set for sure, Erik. I'm sure its been its been a rough go in Estes Park this year. Hope you and your friends in Estes a great year! The image you posted is certainly my favorite of the bunch.

Wonderful idea using Vimeo as a video presentation for stills! Very enjoyable! You had an outlandishly, successful year and it is very hard to pick a favorite, but if I was forced to, I would say the one posted here is my fav.

Hi Eric, considering the tramatic flood event, your 2013 efforts are amazing. Your Longs winter pano is a perfect example why we don't need stinking clouds! The video is a cool way to present the images but I'm guessing what to call my favs. Love the Lone Misty Tree, Sunset Arch, Dallas Divide, Bluebird Lake Wildflowers.

Erik,

It's a little tough to keep everything in mind without referring back to specific images (although the version of a slideshow is a nice touch -- I imagine you've got something similar running on repeat in your gallery?), the one shot from either White Sands or Great Sand Dunes stood out just in its distinctiveness from the others. It's clear you've got a vision of and connection to the high country in RMNP, and it shows. I'd say the shot from with the wonderful river s-curve strikes a chord, as did the Dallas Divide shot.

Hope you and Estes are recovering well, and good luck in '14.

Another vote for your white sands shot. I, too, really liked the music and video display. Forces you to slow down and really take it in. Well done!
