Welcome to 2114. Just a quick report on the L&D 18 Eagles this year. There are 500 adults asnd 180 juv. in the area. The Lock viewing area is closed to access because of work being done on the Lock it is schedualed to go through March. The river access is still open, but the open water changes constantly as the weather changes. There are still plenty of opportunities for tree &passing shots but at the moment the open water is 300-400 yards from the IL shore. This will change with the weather though it looks to be cold for a while. The cold has concentrated the Eagles at the Dam for the moment, even though there are some at every open water area along the river. There was one Snowy Owl documented just South along Hy 34, I have not seen anything of it but am looking. Caught this Eagle in the morning light couple days ago has been overcast early since.

Nice pose and lighting, Kendall. Thanks for the update on the Eagles.
Haven't been out much myself, but I do know there are several Bald Eagles in the Muskegon (SW MI) area along with quite a few Snowy Owls.
