After viewing the post in all galleries for almost 3 weeks it accurred to me, why shouldn't the editors enjoy the final days of vacation. Let's have the Weekly Pick for the 3 week Holiday period be determined by member's voting on the winner in each gallery. Any thoughts on this idea?

The "voting scheme" has been discussed several times before, with plenty of good arguments for and against. If we were to institute it, we would need to put in place a script that would serve as a counter, or a rating system script that would be used to rate aspects such as composition, use of light, processing, etc. and could be scored on a scale of 1 to 5.
I kind of like the idea of a rating system as a useful means of providing feedback on photos, but worry it would be used in lieu of commentary.
Just an FYI reminder to all, all photos posted from 12/15 to 1/4 (today) are eligible for the first WPs of 2014, which will be posted next week.
