Arran over Bluebells
Taken this morning from a hillside on Bute which is covered with bluebells. The island in the distance is Arran.
Combination of 2 exposures taken using bracketing.
1DS2 with 24 - 70 lens. Cropped slightly top and bottom for pano effect.
Critique welcomed.
Best wishes

Would love to see a really big print of this. What a wonderful area, which you have captured to good effect.

Are the two shots combined at the point where the foreground stops and the sea starts? Its a lovely shot but the background and foreground don't quite look right for me, one looks brighter and more saturated and the other looks slightly duller and less contrasty. I don't feel like the sky is creating the light on the foreground. I think a slight tweek of contrast in PS on that background would sort this out though and then you'd have a really great shot on your hands :toast:

Very fine landscape Philip. Foreground looks a bit soft. Can it take a little more USM?

Hello Phil

Would love to see a big print of this one as I am sure the website size image doesn't do it justice.

Hi Philip

I am glad to see someone has some sunshine at the moment. At the moment the weather down here is grey, dull and wet, with no sign of any improvement.

I agee the forground looks a bit too bright, just tone it down half a stop and you will have a very attractive panoramic.

cheers

Sean

Fine shot of a fabulous looking place Phil. I would love to see this printed big - a little web pic cann't hope to do it justice.

Don't know what it is with landscapes but I find I have to look at them about a dozen times before they sink in... Sorry... but at least it knocked the viewing number up! This image has everything: nice lead in line, great colour, warm light, real depth of focus and I'm sure its staggering as a print.

This is a very personal view... there is something not quite right for me. Not sure whether it is the dead brachen (bot-right) or the horizon. Next time hold back on the 'merged image' info and perhaps less of us will be looking for something to critique rather than standing back and saying "Wow, what a lovely view!" :toast:
